I have to get my personal loan and credit card debt down to $7100. I have to be at this number by August or September. Then I’ll refinance to get a lower interest rate. Once I have my new payments, I’ll plan a new strategy to get that debt paid down as soon as possible.
I […]

And how bad is bad? I haven’t spent a lot of money but every time I go into a store that sells home decor products, I’ll look and try to decide if it fits into the scheme that I’ve already imagined my house to have. When I move in, I won’t need a lot of […]

I work in an office with a bunch of people who love coffee. By the time I get to work, the second pot is almost gone and we’re working on a 3rd or 4th pot. Some days we make up to 6 pots of coffee per day. Now as for me, I have a cup […]

Does that make sense? Ok let me explain. I want to write a series of posts on the home buyers classes that I took. There were 4 classes so there will easily be that many posts but potentially a lot more. I could probably get 8 posts out of it because there was so much […]

Apparently my family thinks so. It seems like at least once a month I’m getting bombarded with requests for “just a couple of dollars”. Uh no people. I don’t know why people assume that I have all of this extra cash lying around just waiting to loan it out to them. Especially when I know […]

It’s part of my home buyer’s training course. It’s a requirement that I take these classes in order to receive any type of assistance like a low interest rate loan. The loan is for my local county and it’s backed by a bond fund. However if you don’t take the home buyer’s course you don’t […]

My home buyers class is now over and we’ve learned a lot being in that class. I did not know that there were so many fees associated with buying a home both on the buyers side and the sellers side.
As part of our classroom training, we saw actual settlement statements, with personal information redacted of […]

Last month I my savings total looked like this: $350 towards my $3606.25 goal which leaves me $3356.25 to save for the year. That’s pretty much where I stand right now. I did save a little but my goals have to be tweaked. I’ll write a blog post tomorrow describing the reason for the change.

When I went to West Virginia on Sunday, I did win at the casino. I took $40 and I came home with $100 so I won $60. I actually took more money than I wanted to. I generally only take $20-25 with me but I needed gas and so I grabbed a few extra dollars. […]

Yesterday was pretty nice and I didn’t want to be stuck in the house all day so I decided to drive to West Virginia to the casino. I only took $40 and I left all of my debit cards at home. That way when I was done with my initial stake it would be time […]
