Watching my job submissions

I have to monitor which jobs I apply for very closely. Our new system only allows for 5 submissions in a 7 day period. It’s not 5 per week it’s per 7 business days. That can severly cut down on your submissions so you have to choose wisely.
Suppose you want to be a teller and see […]

Well that was quick

Not only did I not get a interview for the job I really wanted but I got rejected for another job. That sucks because I applied for the job yesterday at 4pm. I got a form letter that stated that they had already filled the job today at 1015am. Now why was the job still […]

Now it’s time to play the waiting game

Again. I had a phone interview last week with a internal recruiter. She said she wanted to schedule me for a face to face with the hiring manager this week. I haven’t heard anything from her yet though. Hopefully I’ll hear something today or tomorrow. I would really like the job. It’s similar to what […]

I need to raise money to invest

I know that sounds silly but I don’t have the extra cash right now to invest in the stock market. There are some great bargains out there right now that I would love to get in on. The problem is that I only have a small amount of cash to invest every month. I know […]

I had a phone interview today

Actually it was more like a screening than a actual interview. I found out from a coworker who applied for the same job that they have tons of applicants to get through. So they’re weeding out resumes, then phone screening those applicants. Then you finally get a face to face with the hiring manager. I […]

Strange addition to the shopping list

I usually make a shopping list before I go shopping. I doesn’t seem to matter because I never stick to the list and I always overspend. However if there is something that I really need to get, I make sure it’s on the list so I don’t forget it. I just decided that I need […]

Things I would never think to sell

I’ve been browsing on eBay looking at some of my competitions prices. I try to keep my stuff in line with theirs to make my sales go more smoothly. Of course, I don’t have as much to sell as some other people. I had a bunch of stuff that I wasn’t using so I decided […]

I found a new game to play

It’s based on the game “The Game of Life” and it’s at Rite Aid. You automatically get one game piece for your purchase. You can also get bonus pieces if you buy certain items. I’m not sure if joint pain relief medication qualifies but I know that Coke products and Carmex Lip Balm do. I […]

I just made my donation

First I had to go and rewrite the title of my post. I don’t want it to become a spammers delight. Anyway, I actually made 2 donations. One was through the Swagbucks program. I get points for internet searches that I can turn into gifts and prizes. I donated a portion of those points to […]

Donating money to worthy causes

I donate money to several causes through my job. Now with the disaster in Haiti I have to find money to donate to the relief efforts. I saw one organization that lets you send a text message to a short code and it automatically charges $5 to your cell phone bill. I’ve heard that George […]

My 2010 resolutions

I only have 5 short and sweet resolutions this year. I should make them all and they shouldn’t be that hard to keep.

Savings - $2700. Not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things but I don’t have any money in savings right now. This should be fairly easy to make.
Bills - $650 […]

My sweepstakes wins for December 2009

I had a pretty good month for sweepstakes wins in December. I won most of the prizes in the first 2 weeks of the month though. After that I only won 1 prize for the rest of the month. All in all I’m happy with what I won.

Autograph SuperBowl XLIV football - I don’t know […]
